Hello everybody :)

I just got in my hands 2 new iPhones. I was trying to connect the on to my pc (Windows XP sp2, iTunes 7.5), however it reports that the device is not recognized, and in the device manager it shows an Unknown Device. :(

I tried uninstall, reinstall iTunes
I tried to manualy point for the driver (usbaapl.sys)
I tried another cable
I tried my iPod, which worked fine (even with the iPhone cable)
I tried another pc (with iTunes 7.3)

Nothing worked...
Apple Mobile Service is working, and didn't report any errors in the Event Viewer.

Can this phone be damaged?

was your iphone being hacked? I‘ve heard some complain about pc can not connected with hacked iPhone. but after restore the phone, it worked. so maybe it wasn't about your PC, it is about your phone.

have you contact apple's service yet?

No, it is 32bit, I know that 64bit systems are not supported

Today, I went to a friend with a iBook, and neither there we could connect the iPhone  His phone works fine, my phone, does nothing...

Am I so unlucky, that I got a faulty phone?

The 2nd one I have, worked fine.
