What about that stupid dog in the search window, what is that for? I can't stand Windows and its insane ways.

I'm sure the some can say the same of Mac.

It's one of Apple's smaller things, but Windows and Linux users believe the File Edit View etc stuff should be in the actual application, not the little bar (yes, I've actually heard this very same reason).

Yeah, I wonder whos idea that was. "Hey guys lets put a animated dog in the search box Mac OS X doesnt have that!"

ive seen it before!!! lol
but its still funny!

Id like to get my hands on some of that quality M$ code they use to write windblows with. (the funny code where everything is commented out)

But don't you get it? It's the propaganda part of it all. If they have cute dogs and stuff, then all the dog luvers will buy Windows because it's the "dog loving" OS. ;) Purely to appeal to certain groups. ;)

Call me dumb.... but it tht really in windows...Its been about a year since ive came in contact with a windows computer..

Windows XPee in "classic" mode. ;)

As my first post said... Call me Stupid(hey im only 14) im still lost.. I know windows sucks..(i wouldnt be on my mac without my video production teacher as he turned me on to mac OSX after i hated os 9 in elemtary school) But i get told i have rocks in my head... so im still confused

Haha, I saw this years ago. It's supposed to be Hidden Settings in MS Office 97 (hence mention of such things as Clippit, Autorecovery, etc).

The dog in the Windows XP search screen can be turned off or changed to something else. It is reminiscent of Microsoft BOB, which also had a dog assistant.
