No clue on the Wine don't use it but you need to re-install Macports from source for it to work as more than a few of the directories needed during the compile have changed around. Had thought I had bookmarked the page where I found the instruction but apparently not. The link I include below on the migration you perform the first three steps. Then I made a script which did the rest for me automatically I have attached this file. Now a couple of programs failed after the build of Macports itself as they have hardwired links to the old Xcode locations so would not install. Good luck if you decide to give it a try.

Edit: Almost forgot you need to open Xcode after it is installed in Mavericks so it can ask you for the password then upgrade/install the command line tools necessary for building.
