winpwn 2.0 help

Hi,

On my computer (for whatever reason) I can't restore my device, I always get this strange error six. Any way, I was wondering if I could download winpwn, build my ipsw and firmware and stuff, then put the firmware on a memery stick and shift click restore on another computer. The restoring problem has happened with my computer ever sinceI got 2.0.

BTW- This is an ipod touch, not an iphone. I just wanted to post here because i can never get help at the ipod touch hacks forum .

I get the same error! a stupid six error everytime i build a new thing, restore it, and it never works!

Error 6 means that you are not in DFU mode.

Attach the phone to the pc
Turn the phone off
Hold power and home together for *exactly* 10 seconds
Release power but keep holding home until the pc beeps as a USB device is recognized.
At no point will the display come on. Now your restore should work.

ok, ill try that.

It always shows the apple logo or connect to itunes logo so Ill try to get it to a black screen.
