Winter board brick'd my phone

Winterboard threw my phone into a constant respring cycle so I had to restore this morning. Staying away from that one...
Yeah, I updated Winterboard on mine and it did the same to mine and when I force restarted mine it showed the Apple logo indefinitely.
I had to put it into DFU mode and restore.
Mine as well. Decided to remake the custom firmware from scratch because there were things in mine that have since been updated or added.
Cydia is fine for me - if you let it update its smooth and works great now.
If you are still having issues I suggest you make a new custom firmware as your firmware is probably buggy.
I know it shouldn't be but there is variation in firmware restore files and some seem to have issues.
As for winterboard or summerboard or any other app changing the appearence of iPhone it is always possible it will mess up the settings and the phone will freeze and/or get stuck and need to be restored - it is a risk you take when modifying such important files as those apps do!

So far my Winterboard is working amazingly well. I have been switching a total of maybe twelve Summerboard themes back and forth so far with no problems. Here's one with my yellow case:

I got it mainly for the bumper protection but yeah; I like the way it looks. A word to those considering those cutesy and elite clear plastic cases; some if not all of them snap together and trust me; they will eject your "Precious" upon impact quicker than a downed jet fighter. BOOYAH!

Back on topic, winterboard stuck me at the boot screen as well yesterday after the update. DFU/restore was my only hope.
I don't know why I've been so fortunate so far. Maybe cause all I keep on mine is Winterboard and Summerboard themes. I did not install Customize; to my knowledge it still seems unstable and I am fearing some conflict might start with what I already have. I do have Terminal, Netshare and Cydia of course. I am very happy with what I have and will download other stuff when I hear really good reports.
After 5 DFU/restores I have found out in my case it is not winterboard but the new Cydia update that is f*ckin up my phone. The problems started after the Winterboard and Cydia update last night.
