Winterboard and Netatalk

I'm running a 2.2 JB, I used QuickPwn, I was just wondering does QuickPwn automatically install WinterBoard; because I heard that it makes 2.2 lag quite a bit. Also, the way my internet is setup my iMac gets the internet via Wi-Fi, so I can't create another Wi-Fi network from my Mac to use with my iPhone, so I guess I can't use Netatalk? I tried but it doesn't seem to work. Funny enough, I tried OpenSSH and that did work.

no winterboard does not come preinstalled

yes, you should be able to use netatalk if your imac is using wifi. thats how i do it. just download it and it should pop up on your imacs finder under devices

Really? It doesn't show up for me. Do you think you just just lay out how you did it, because I'm a bit unsure if I did the whole AppleTalk settings correctly.
