Does winterboard work now since ms was updated ?

It won't work on my 5s. Going forward it's an "us vs them" ... whenever someone says they have a 5 it's really irrelevant because it's the old architecture, so the "does this work..." should really be noted for 5s (64 bit) or the old stuff.

I wish those who kept piping in saying "it works for me on my 5" would stop because the real jump here is 64 bit and most of the tweaks that are broken are broken because they haven't been updated to 64bit so 5s, iPad 2, etc, won't work.... and frankly I don't care that it works on a 5 because that's not a shock.

GMAB! It now works on my 5. Prior to today, it didn't. However, all themes don't; you'll just have to try them.

So…what you are saying is that all of us who have iPhones before the 5s should just shut up and not say anything about anything here on the JB forums because we don't count anymore?

Do I have this right?

Cool story...sorry didn't know this forum was only 5s.

Are you 12?

Go away.

Or at least read the posts of what's working and what's not.

I post where appropriate. There are other iPhone 5 users who want to know if something is working on iOS 7 on the iPhone 5. Even if that doesn't apply to 5s owners.

Certainly the same has to apply to 4 and 4s owners as well.

Epic fail.......

your right, how stupid of me.

that is the one i have, but be careful you are not supposed to ask any questions about the 5

Thanks for the confirmation. Now I can start making a new layout! :D So excited to design something new.

And yeah, I wouldn't want to ask a question about an ancient device. I'm prepared to accept my 40 lashes of punishment.

Geezus. Well while trying to avoid everything one of the earlier posters was saying, I'll respond.

On my iPhone 5 (yes, iPhone 5, because before something would work on A7 devices, this is the first step) I get a springboard safe mode restart every time I type something in spotlight if I have Winterboard enabled. Then again, I haven't checked after last night's most recent Mobile Substrate update.

one thing i noticed, when i installed wintewrboard, my ipad 4 would crash when
i attempted to use search...

i removed the last tweak (winterboard) and now it does not crash..

I'm running the new substrate update on my iPhone 5 and spotlight search still triggers safe mode just as you described (and yes, I have Winterboard installed). I guess it doesn't matter since, according to the OP, nobody cares about <A7 devices. I guess I'll just go crawl in a hole and die since there is absolutely no chance of an update to fix this :p

Has WinterBoard completely cleared out anyone's Notification center settings like it did for me?

My notification center was cleared too but the problem isn't because of Winterboard directly. Winterboard is causing the springboard to crash whenever you try to search with spotlight. This crash causes the device to boot in safe mode. Because substrate safe mode hasn't been updated for iOS 7 yet, whenever safe mode is triggered, the notification center is cleared. In order to fix this, you need to add the insanelyi repo and install a tweak called Safe Mode NC Fixer. With this installed, your notification center won't be cleared next time your device is in safe mode. You will, however, still have to put back all of your notification center settings. This tweak prevents future clearings, it doesn't fix clears that have already happened. Make sense?

That worked. Thanks.

I'm also being booted to safe mode whenever I do a spotlight search. I see many of you are facing the same issue! Any known fixes?

----------

Also any list of known working themes?

Winterboard for iOS7 isnt READY YET.

The file system within iOS7 has been changed from what it was in iOS6. The icon links to the system are not the same anymore therefore you are all getting crashes. Just wait it out, i am sure teams are preparing some solution.

As for some themes working, well its mainly ones which only change the app icons and not the rest of the OS design.
