Wiping a Mac clean?

Hi Guys,

About to sell an extra Mini that I had lying around. It runs the latest Yosemite OS. Any suggestions on how I can wipe it clean of all my data?

About to sell an extra Mini that I had lying around. It runs the latest Yosemite OS. Any suggestions on how I can wipe it clean of all my data?

Turn on file vault then erase and reinstall Yosemite. File vault will encrypt the hard drive so when you erase the hard drive there will be nothing left for someone to data mine.

I got no USB key with OS X on it (2015 MBAIR)...not that I plan on doing so but if I wanted to clean install yosemite in the future how would i do this??? Macbook air i used to have had usb key for clean install.
