Sooo I have an application that WILL NOT DELETE! I move it to the trash it does nothing. It stays there. I took my iMac to the Apple store and they said I would need to wipe my computer clean... I am fine with that but I have some expensive programs... i.e. Photoshop Lightroom etc.... how can I keep those programs but wipe everything else? Thanks!

It is something called FKeyHandlerX... It is a driver or something that was installed when I installed a tablet...

Are they legit? If so, just de-activate and re-install.

Just a thought...

Go to System Preferences and open the Accounts panel.

Check your "login items" to see if this is on the list of apps that are loaded at startup.

If it does appear there, try UNchecking it in the list.

Then, RESTART and then see if you can delete it. You want to restart so that the computer boots up and DOES NOT load the file in question.

Deguy... Thanks for the site... It didn't work :(.... I also went to my accounts and it isn't there either... Grrr the stupid fkeyhandlerx won't let me open Photoshop or anything that is adobe and it also will not let me open my address book... It's strange. SOOOO I got the FkeyhandlerX deleted... but now when I go to open either photoshop or address book or whatever.... is says "You cant open the application "Adobe Photoshop CS3" because it is not supported on this architecture." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

I believe that "architecture" is referring to the hardware architecture, as in PowerPC or Intel.
