So the new updated WIRED app allows you to download multiple issues. What I can't figure out, other than deleting the whole app, is how to delete an issue.

There are only 2 issues, and issue 1 was auto-deleted when you download the new app. I guess they'll introduce this functionality when there are enough issues for it to be a, well, issue.
AFAICT you can't delete the mini sample issue at all.
