Hi, I'm trying to charge my apple watch, series 2, using the 5 pin diagnostic port. I have not been successful, yet, but was wondering if anyone knows anything about doing this or has done it. I have a breadboard starter kit so I can supply 5V and over 100mA. But can I just stick the 5V and GND (at over 100mA) in the correct ports or is there more than I thought? Any help or suggestion is appreciated and thanks in advanced.

I have only heard of Reserve Strap doing this. Third party strap.

Not sure I would experiment and possibly overload watch----

Solid post. No one should experiment with the diagnostic port without knowing what it does, as that’s usually meant for strictly technician related repairs or resetting the watch if it was bricked for some reason.

Upon further research, seems that strap no longer would work. From 2015? Apple supposedly shut that port off in an iOS update. Did not look deep into it. So, not sure on details.
