Wired & Wireless keyboard for $30

So I ordered my iMac august 7th and decided I wanted the wireless keyboard. I was willing to wait for the keyboard but was hoping it wouldn't actually be a 5 week delay. I decided last night that I just couldn't wait any longer. I was willing to pay the $50 dollar difference to get a wired keyboard with the iMac and then have them send me the wireless when available. So I called apple this morning to change my order and they waived the $50 dollar difference! So I got the wired and wireless keyboard and only had to pay the $30 dollar upgrade. Just thought this might be useful information to anyone else who ordered an iMac and is still holding out for a wireless keyboard.


PS - I have read macrumors EVERYDAY for years and this is my very first mac.

I know I know...sad, huh. I have my daily internet routine which includes macrumors, engadget, myspace, and google news.

By the way, I ordered a foof case yesterday! I found the page from your footer... Thanks!

ya but thats great about the keyboard.

agreed. I would have done that. I would ultimately like the BT version even though there is no keypad or USB simply for the cordless elegance. Then again by the time I get my replacement and set it up with external drives, iPhone dock, iPod dock, and possibly speakers along with plugging in my digital camera now and again, I may not care about the keyboard cord.

Thanks for the tip....Changed my order today...Imac should ship in a week....added the wireless keyboard as extra accessories for $30 as well.. The wireless keyboard not expected to ship until Sept 23.

My keyboard is expected to ship by Sep 28 and my system Aug 23 - Aug 27

I got a 24" with a 500 gig hd. What about you? I wonder why your keyboard is shipping faster
