wireless & bluetooth icon menubar problem (after update)

After I did the latest software/hardware updates for my MacBook i've been having tons of problems. For one, my icons (upper right) just completely disappeared after restart and superdrive application pops open stating that there is no update required or something like that. I restarted a few more times, and it seems that my volume, date/time, battery, and spotlight have returned, but my bluetooth icon, and wireless icon haven't. I checked System Prefs to make sure they checked to appear, and everything seems fine...Anyone having the same problem?

Have you tried unchecking them and then checking them again to see if that works?

If you try to put new items in the menubar, do they appear? Like menumeters or something like that.

hrm, my adium icon appears, and it looks like my bluetooth appears now. but it disappears after i restart again. also, it looks really weird as if its stuck or something...here's an image...
