Is there a built in wireless card that comes with the imac?

Is an 800mhz, 256mb ram model

I don't think they came with it by default, but you could get them as a BTO option. It takes an Airport card (not Airport Extreme) which you can pick up second hand sometimes. around $50-100 here.
Installation instructions from Apple here.

Yep...you'll need an original AirPort card. Unfortunately these aren't being made anymore. Generally expect to pay ~$150 on eBay. You'll occasionally find a kind soul on here offering one for less, but that's pretty rare.

In the unlikely event that you actually have one already...
Check (presuming you're using OSX) under the Apple menu > About This Mac > More Info > Network > Airport. No Information means it doesn't have one.

One for sale here. $NZ = about .65 US$

Or you can buy a third party USB dongle; they're not badly priced and work pretty well (I have one on a 400mHz Imac that works fine). Most of the problems that used to exist with these on Macs was related to the driver, which as of November was fixed. HOWEVER, make sure that the dongle you buy has a Mac driver, many do not. I know the D-Link DWL-122 does.
