iPhone 15 Pro Max Wireless CarPlay and op

When using wireless CarPlay with Optimized charging and my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 17.2 connected to the wireless's charger in my 2023 Toyota crown, it looks like since it’s not my usual charging time the battery only charges to 80%. Is this correct or is the wireless charger just not getting thru my Nomad leather case?

Do you have you 15 PM set to optimized charging only to 80%?

No, it’s set to Optimized Battery Charging. I don’t want to limit the phone to 80%.
