In the September iPhone keynote Apple announced its upcoming charging pad. In the video shown, an iPhone, Airpod case, and Airpods were placed on the charging pad and it showed all three charging wirelessly. We know that a wireless charging AirPod case is coming in December, however, I haven't seen anything about the wireless charging AirPods themselves. Can they already charge wirelessly? If not, is there any information on these being available?

There actually making a case for the that can replace the current air pods case that enables wireless charging, I’m expecting it to release close to when apple realizes there air power wireless charging pad, early 2018 would be my estimate, currently air pods can only charge through lightning but wireless should be around soon
The Current Airpod battery charging case does not support wireless charging capabilities. They are expected to launch in December, Likely when the HomePod releases.

The AirPods won’t charge wirelessly. It is literally just a new Wireless case that is coming.
Why would the Airpods charge wirelessly? Only the battery pack has the capability asformentioned. The Airpods do not have the suffcient room to add any wireless receivers inside the units themselves.
