Wireless Charging Case for AirPods?

Can the AirPods wireless charging case be charged with inexpensive 3rd party wireless charging pads or is it only functional with Apple's high dollar wireless charger?

I believe it is compatible with any and (presumably) all Qi charging pads.

Here’s my experience, with AirPods w/ wireless case: they charge on my Nomad base station w/ Apple Watch dock, my wife’s Mophie wireless pad but not on my Taotronics desk light w/ wireless charger. I have heard others here having hit or miss experiences on various chargers.
My life hack is I use an Apple iPhone dock to charge them most of the time because it’s far easier than trying to find the sweet spot on wireless chargers.

Thanks, Guys. I think you're right. After trying them on a cheapo (Sam's Club) charging pad, they seem to charge.
