Wireless charging question

Is there a wireless charger that will allow me to charge two pair of Airpods at the same time?

This may be a stupid question, but I don’t use a wireless charger for my phone due to the type of case I use (not interested in taking it off and replacing it all the time). I DO have two pair of Airpods with the wireless charging cases, and am wondering if I can charge both at the same time.

Preferably an inexpensive knockoff option, but just curious if anything like this exists.

Yeah there are plenty out there on eBay, Amazon & AliExpress. If your AirPods cases are MagSafe, then you’ll have even more options as you’ll be able to use most modern 2 in 1 chargers that have a fixed & angled iPhone stand/plate as well as the flat plate dedicated to the AirPods.

Just be mindful - I have one (Satechi brand iirc, that could be spelt wrong) that seemed to overheat my AirPods Pro case. I know that sounds weird as the device only takes the charge it needs, but this charger just seemed to want to keep charging the case….

In the end, I decided to just buy a MagSafe charger on sale (which they are more so these days) & used that instead. There may be dual MagSafe ‘holster’ stands out there if you decide to go this way too.

How do I know if they are MagSafe? I bought them second hand from here - I just know they have wireless charging cases because it says so on the box. ;-p

I still just use my cords for everything, so the wireless chargers are a bit foreign to me.

How do I know if they are MagSafe?

The AirPods cases? If they're MagSafe, then they'll magnetically attach to Apple's (or third party's) MagSafe pucks. You could test this in store if unsure, before you buy anything.

Oh. Usually, a space reserved for wirelessly charging a phone only has enough coils that'll do one AirPods case. There may be ones that have more coils, but i'd say they're rare.

I just tested my bedside wireless charging stand I got from Kmart & my AirPods Pro case can be charged in two positions, enough for two of them! I'm not sure if this is recommended practice, but I don't see how any harm can be done. I'd just monitor their temps to make sure they're not overheating as mine was on that Satechi charger.

If you're unsure if two will fit, see if you can find details of the coils of that particular wireless charger - if they're only in one circular configuration, then one AirPods case will fit, but if they're in a figure 8 configuration, then two may fit!

Message the seller & ask, to be sure, before buying.

Always check their returns policy though, just in case.
