Hi, is it possible to use wireless charging with a case on the phone or do you have to remove the case before you can use the feature? Are there certain types cases that allow wireless charging without the need to remove the case first?

I think every wireless charger might have different results. But more specifically, the Airpower charging pad from Apple was likely tested under using their OEM cases, but I wouldn't see why third-party cases wouldn't work as well.

FWIW I’m using my old Apple leather 7+ case on my 8+. Fits perfectly. Works perfectly with wireless charging.

Anyone know if it’ll still work with one of the stick on silicon wallets on the back of the case? I’m a college student and to get into my dorm or buildings or the dining halls I have to hold the card up to the scanner. Currently it’s in a stick on wallet so I just have to raise my phone up to the scanner and we’re solid. Will the wireless charging still work with this on? Will the wireless charger damage the magnetism or whatever of the student id and credit cards?

Most chargers I've seen advertise they'll charge through a 3-4mm case. I have the Belkin charger Apple sells and a case (not super thin but not super thick) and it charges just fine.
