Wireless Connection

im experiencing the same problem as the guy a few threads below! Except mine is with a wireless connection. A few days ago when i got home for break, i could easily access the wireless network set up in my home. But for some reason, the signal is still being recieved and the airport is set up but i cant access the internet. Unfortnately, its so depressing im using a PC. But...i am connected to the internet via Airport, Internal Modem is not set up (this is what it tells me in System Preferences. As for how my IPv4 is configured, im using DHCP. I have my airport joining any network automatically. Someone please help! I tried everything..i disconnected from the network then restarted my computer. I've tried some solutions from the other thread but most of them didnt work since he is trying to connect to a base.

So you're using an Airport Express instead of an Airport Base Station? Is that what you mean?

Are you using DSL or Cable?

Have you tried:

Powering down all computers using the Internet connection, Power-cycling the DSL / Cable modem, then power-cycling your Airport Base station / extreme / or router(s) (in that order)?

You have consulted the manual for resetting the Airport and other ideas, correct?

I guess I just need a better picture of what your setup is exactly.

I have a Powerbook g4. i have a cable modem connected to the router. when you say consult the manual to reset the airport do you mean consult that manual that came with my powerbook when i first bought it? And i am using an airport express with a third party router. Sorry about leaving all this out.

I was referring to the Airport (assuming you have one) manual to reset the Airport. You can view the Airport Express manual here. It's the second link at the top of the list.

Have you tried power-cycling (unplugging the power and plugging the power back in) each item as I suggested in my previous post?

What brand of router are you using? Do you have MAC filtering enabled on your router?
