I'm thinking of having a wireless backup solution. But the cost of Time Capsule is too high for me. Can somebody advise me a good wireless HDD for Time Machine please? I was also thinking of using that wireless as a source of my movies. So that I can watch movies from my MacBook wirelessly. Is that possible? I'm using N wireless network.

Thanks

Presumably you have a router, so an option is to attach a regular external HDD to it via ethernet, and use that for your Time Machine backups (this is exactly what I do).

As for streaming movies to your Macbook, assuming that you plan to partition your external HDD, then this isn't a problem. You can store files on the external drive and just access them on your Macbook as necessary. Just remember that any movies stored on the same device as your backups are going to be lost if the whole thing craters on you. Better to have your files stored in one place and backed up in another.
