Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Help

I just got my Mac Mini today and got it all set up.

The guy at the store said any keyboard with Bluetooth should work, but it's not picking up any kind of signal for some reason. Nor is the mouse.

I bought the RocketFish Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

I follwed all of the directions on the box and in the instructions.

My computer won't let me choose any set up options until it will pick up on the mouse.

Its sounds like Bluetooth is turned off. You need a corded mouse to set it up.

Alright I have a USB keyboard and mouse plugged in as well as the USB for the Bluetooth set.

Next question: (man I am computer retarded!!)

When I am in the Bluetooth menu, it shows that I am paired with my wireless keyboard and mouse, but it says it is not connected.

How do I get it to connect?!?

You should check that little gear icon in the list of devices and select Connect.
