i have an Apple wireless keyboard for my 2009 Mini and for some time I have been having connectivity issues generaliy on wake/restart. The Mini can't see the keyboard, the magic mouse works fine. I had determined the keyboard is fine as it works perfectly with my iPad. Note I have had the Mini open 2+ years ago and have wondered whether I dislodged a bluetooth antenna or the like but mouse works fine.

Anyway recently I decided to dis-associate the keyboard from the iPad and now it seems to work much better with the Mini. Is this possible, explainable ?

Oh it is more than possible!
This is how the BT devices work. That keyboard will work properly when mated with one device. I think that the instructions describe this limitation. :apple:

Just to confirm the keyboard works flawlessly now since disassociating with the iPad
