Wireless Mighty Mouse Power question

SO I just got a BT Mighty Mouse, so far so good, I just have one question, the sliding cover that covers the laser source, do I have to slide it every time I stop using it? or will the mouse stop draining the battery when I stop using it by itself?

When you turn the computer off or put it to sleep, the mouse will power down automatically.

You do not need to turn it off every time you stop using it.

thanks for the quick reply, that's good to know, cause it would be annoying if I had to do it everytime
