Now that I have my air I'm looking around for storage. I thought it would be nifty if there was a wireless NAS solutions that I could just carry around in my laptop pack and have the Air find it automatically with out the need for using the USB port. It doesn't look like there are any that are battery powered (yet), and some of them are far to clunky to be a portable option. Anyone have any experience or suggestions?

Perhaps a time capsule could be used, but do you actually get any regular storage with that or is it only accessible through time machine?

Thanks,
f

up to you, considering the Air is so thin....

but, on the macbook, i bought a portable hard drive. difference b/t that and an external is that a portable just needs USB to power. Western Digital #1 for this.

So, I put velcro on the back of the monitor. I then velcroed the hard drive to the back of the monitor (allowing me to take off when desired) and I have a little USB cable that came with it to connect. makes it convenient. however, it works ok on a macbook, an Air, might be more of a pain and less pleasing as its very thin and metallic, but point is, it gets the job done
