Wireless networking

Hi

I've got a iMac g5 on 10.4.2, Netgear DG834GT wireless modem/router and an airport express for airtunes. Currently my computer sees the Netgear and Airport Express as two networks. Can I set them up so that they are one network, ie. so I can use the net and airtunes at the same time? I also understand that it is possible to use the airport to extend the range of the Netgear.

Yes. I believe the best way to do this is through the AirPort Admin Utility whereby under the AirPort tab, select Join An Existing Wireless Network from the drop down menu.

I also understand that it is possible to use the airport to extend the range of the Netgear.

It cannot extend the range of a Netgear but merely join onto the network. An Express can only extend other AirPort's ranges and some Linksys models if they have a third party firmware hack installed.
