Wireless Router or Airport Base Station

I have a macbook 0S X I am able to access the internet wirelessly via my router connected to my PC. Can I connect an ethernet connection to my laptop to get my printer to work as a wireless connection instead of purchasing a Airport Extreme Base Station. Any help on this would be appreciated. (there are two ethernet connections on the router 0nly one is being used) Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks

I think you can share your printer with your Mac connected wirelessly too. Other experts may wish to add
