I am looking to get a mac mini for a multimedia station hooked to my HDTV. What are recommended wireless trackball mice that are known to work with Mac. I see a couple on Amazon, but I'm never sure if they TRULY work with Macs or not.
Depends on what you need from it, I am quite happy with my MightyMouse although I did have a Logitech one (from the Apple Store) that allowed volume control and webpage navigating from the mouse which was cool but I prefer the size and feel of the MightyMouse hence my return to it![]()
It should work just fine, I use a corded trackball with my macbook and logitech provide drivers for OS X with their Control Panel.
The one I'm using is this. Works brilliantly well, but it's not cordless.
There's no reason why cordless ones wouldn't work though, I'm assuming they just use a usb receiver as opposed to bluetooth?
I endorse the marble mouse by logitech. I'm using one too!
Thanks for the response. I may have mis-phrased my question.
This is for my living room, and there is no table surface. So, I'm not looking for a mouse, but a wireless trackball. One where the ball is facing up and you move the ball with your thumb, rather than move the unit around. Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-9043...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1240061551&sr=8-1
But I'm looking for recommendations from Mac folks. Also, do these wireless signals carry 10 feet?
Ah I see, I used to have that Logitech one on my old PC, worked great except after a lot of heavy usage my thumb would ache (similar to quad biking pain if anyone has done that).
Have you thought about a Wireless Tablet instead? - http://www.tablet4u.co.uk/product.html?ItemID=776
Might also look cooler? I have a wired one which I will sometime use in place of the mouse, takes a bit of getting used to in order to use it as a mouse but when you get it I often find it's faster than a mouse?
