Which wireless router do you have? Which OSs are we talking about, Mac and PC? Do you have a firewall on your Windows computer?

What exactly is your router setup? And when do you get the error? When you try to initially connect, or when you try to navigate to a folder or grab a file?

Are the PC and the Mac on the same subnet? Or is your PC "upstream" of your Mac when the Mac is wireless? The latter would explain what you are seeing, and would occur, for instance, if you have two routers, such as a wired one, into which the Mac is connected, and then a wireless one which is connected to the wired one. It might happen under some other circumstances, too.
