I have updated and gb'd my 2G phone at last. Now it uses up all my credit because it does not seem to use the wireless network in my house even though it says it's working. Does anybody know what can I do about this?

Sim Card

I have tried without SIM card. It sees the router and connects with it. But when I go on to anything requiring the www or email it says there is no connection.

Jailbreak

I used Quickpwn 2.2 to jailbreak. I found that it would only work using Mac OS X 10.4.11
I tried it on my Macbook OS 10.5.6 but it wouldn't work.
It was all very frustrating and I thought all was well until I discovered that it has been ignoring my wireless network and using my 2G phonecard instead.

I would suggest the following:

- get a powered USB hub and connect the iPhone via that
- use the macbook with 10.5.6
- follow this tutorial from iClarified: link

Things should work OK after that

Simple. Turn off your edge and 3G using SBSettings and turn it back on if you need it.
