Wish for a notification system

It would be amazing if Apple Music would automatically send you a notification in iTunes or in the Music app whenever there's a new release by an artist that you're following, right?

Anyone think hoping for such a feature is realistic?

I kinda thought that's the whole point of following an artist?

AFAIK, following an artist only keeps you updated with what that artist decided to share.
So when an artist isn't active on Connect, following them is useless.

I've had some of my followed artists release new material in the past two weeks and I didn't find out about it in Connect.

So some sort of automatic notification system would really come in handy.
