Well given its a in pre Beta version, you will probably find issues.

Though it looks very promising, I cannot wait to have a go with a beta version

Enjoy. It is surprisingly mature for an early beta. Obviously, this is because there are very few changes from Vista (NT6) to Win7 (NT6.1)--much of the code base has already been finalized. However, Windows 7 clearly possesses some significant under-the-hood kernel-level optimization: it feels lighter than Vista and has a tighter memory footprint.

Windows 7 has been in development for some time though, so not surprised the latest beta appears to work well.

Any Vista supporting apps/drivers/etc will work fine with W7 in it's current form.

W7 is Vista but tweaked for better operation, like what Snow Leopard will be compared to Leopard.

could you give us some install steps ?

I'm looking to upgrade my XP sp2 because in parallels for some reason it won't think it's genuine, so trying something new would be great

Is the install big in size?
