Why haven't they added a separate option to disable home screen rotation only but still keep the auto screen rotation for when you're inside an app?

I don't need my home screen to rotate. I think that's the most useless feature ever. At what point ever would I need my home screen rotated horizontally.

Every time it happens, I have to go and turn the rotation feature off, only to have to go and turn it on the next time I wanna watch a video in safari.

The home screen doesn't rotate if you use the zoomed view. (Just something that came up in a recent thread.)

Zoomed view looks horrible. I realize you're just offering the one solution available but this causes more discontent than the home screen rotating, which is completely useless (my opinion; not trying to start an argument).

The lack of this feature keeps me from even considering the Plus model.

Seems like an odd omission. Such a small option which would undoubtably make their more expensive phone slightly more attractive to a subset of customers.

You're missing out big time. Yeah, it's annoying but not frequent enough to be any more than a minor inconvenience. The additional screen size and resolution more than make up for it.

And battery
Definitely battery. I haven't had to use my charger at work since getting my plus. I consistently end my day around 40% compared to having to charge around halfway through my workday with the 6s and the 7 (the improvements claimed by Apple on the 7 are bull.

Go to settings, privacy, location services, system services, and turn off everything except find my iphone and you'll end your day on 60%

Thanks! I left Cell Network Search and compass calibration on as well since the former sounds important on a device with the phone function and I semi-regularly use navigation so I'm assuming the latter is important for that functionality.

You don't really need cell network option to be enabled there, all that really does is send cell tower information to Apple essentially.

All I want them to fix is the wallpaper in landscape on the plus models. The default wallpapers don't zoom in like custom ones do. All wallpapers get blurry in lanscape because of this. Just make it work like it does on the ipad.

Nope, doesn't effect it one bit. Been running this for years.
