Hi all,
I've been looking for quite a while for a Palladium Games style Character Generator/Campaign manager. I've looked into a few of the "d20" versions on Versiontracker but they're all essentially AD&D (blech!).
So here's the question: Is anyone interested in building such a beast?
I was looking for something useable with Rifts RPG. I've got quite a collection of books scanned in as PDF's to make carrying them around easier plus a collection of third-party PDF-only supplements. I was guessing that I could use these books to build a database of skills, character races/classes, etc.
I have no idea how easy it would be to build one of these from Java or simply base it on something on VT like PCGen. I have ZERO interest in marketing this idea, I just want to be able to do character gen in some reasonable amount of time without having to hunt around in 40 or so supplements and then juggle a tiny character sheet and a whole lot of OCC/RCC mod notes.
All ideas welcome.
