With iCloud photo library enabled should iCloud backup photo library?

I have an iPhone 6 with iOS 8.2 on. I have enabled iCloud photo library (beta) and ticked "optimise iPhone storage".

However on my iCloud backup storage options on my iPhone you can enable/disable what you want backed up. On my photo library it has "no data" so I presume that my photos on my iPhone are not getting backed up by the iCloud backup, but are by the iCloud photo library? Is this correct.

Little confused by this, and worried that my photo library days "no data"

No the iCloud Photo Library service replaces the standard iCloud photo backup mechanism

So the above screenshot is correct then? Photo library should say "no data"

Makes sense just wanted to be sure! So if I disable iCloud photo library,i take it my photo library on phone will start to show data and get backed up?

Yeah it's correct. I'm also using iCloud Photo Library and my backup shows no data. If you disable iCloud Photo Library your photos will become part of the normal backup again.
