Right now, it's cloud storage since I have an older ipad 5th generation.

I just bought a Linksys 500GB external SSD drive in anticipation of iPadOS. I'm not using the beta yet because my iPad is too mission critical, so right now I'm exporting my iPad projects to iCloud and then later making a copy of that from my Mac to the SSD. I can't wait to just be able to export straight to the drive.
