With recent Android Wear support for iOS, how many are thinking of Android Smartwatch

As the title says, Android Wear was "kinda hacked" and now works with iOS. Well, partially. Only supports text messages for now, but other things may come sometime soon.

So, how many of you are thinking that Android Wear is a better option than Apple Watch? There are a lot of things why Android Wear is much better than Apple Watch, battery life being the biggest. Apple Watch battery life seems to suck balls, according to recent news.

Why is that? Have you actually thought about it or are you purely basing you decision based on your love for Apple? I find Apple being pretty slack with its soft recently. Look and Google and Microsoft and what they have done.

An unbiassed answer to your question would require at least two things:

(1) Full and official Android Wear support for iOS (you don't want to buy one of those watches only to use it as a paperweight after an update renders it useless with your iPhone)

(2) The release of the Apple Watch when we will finally know if "battery life sucks balls" and any other for/against arguments

Now, don't forget this is an Apple forum and specifically an Apple Watch forum, so if you come here to discuss, logic dictates that you should not expect unbiassed opinions.

Why do you believe Android Wesr is better than Apple Watch? Have you actually used an Apple Watch to be able to make that opinion?

There is no difference in the Android Wear battery life vs. projected Apple Watch battery life.

What Android Wear watch has better than a day battery life? None. The LG G Watch R is supposed is supposed to have the best battery, but still it gets mixed reviews about the battery 'sucking balls' as well.

The LG watch only lasts longer than a day ONLY IF the watch is put into Black & White Ambient mode. This doesn't mean the battery is any better, just you have options to tweak it to get a better battery life. I have no doubts Apple will have the same types of modes.

Battery life is only better on smart watches like the Pebble which have a different type of screen and do not allow touch input. The pebble is really the only option other than the Apple Watch. To me, getting an Android watch puts before seeing the Apple Watch puts you in the Android fanboy category.

Is there a review you can point to that says that (bold)? Everywhere I can find states the opposite, that not using always on (ambient mode) will net you 3 days of battery life.

Well there is no real way to compare android to the apple watch, we do not have enough info on the apple watch, but what we do have is a history with apple that for me has been reliable so far. I am wearing an android watch now, I can tell time and play music from my iphone through it; that is all the features I can use. As for me, I will be buying at least the first version of apple watch. To me apple watch has great potential, being able to use some of the apps I use from my phone now, 3rd party apps made just for the watch, 4 sensors on the back that as of now will only use 2, but what of the future. I know it will take time for new features to become apparent and useful, but this is a new product for apple. As for the fashion aspect, it really does not matter to me; however it is a nice looking watch and from what I have been reading about the materials, it should be a sturdy watch as well, So in conclusion Yes I will give apple my business just because of my past experiences with them

Yeah that review mirrors every other review, the AW watches last all day with the display in always on mode. The exception being the Moto 360. The reviewer didn't even bother to test with Ambient Display (Always On) turned off.

I would also like to mention that very few of the major sites re-review a tech product when an update comes out. The battery life on the Moto360 has improved with the most recent updates.

I would be very hesitant picking a device that needs to be hacked to give minimal connectivity options over a device that is made for the purpose of dealing with an iPhone.
