The 512GB Xs max is going for 1999$ in Canada. I can only imagine the the new iPad pros are going to be even more money. Apple is really starting to get ridiculous with their pricing.

I expect the iPad Pro price to increase when they update them. That’s why I picked up a slightly used current model with 256GB, LTE, ASK and Pencil for $500USD.

It's just around $80 difference between US and Canada, don't be surprised. In Europe it's much more.
It's misleading that you wrote the price in regular dollar rather than Canadian dollars.

Most people update their iPads way less often than their phones, a price increase will only be painful on the wallet every few years.

We are looking at maturing products in a capitalist system where the manufacturer’s profit still needs to grow, so it’s no surprising to see increasing prices.

Agreed. Let's not forget that the Pros are inching closer to become laptop replacements and are increasingly packed with tech that reflect that. Like a laptop it shouldn't be upgraded ever 1-2 years.

The average consumer doesn't need a Pro and would do fine with a 2018 iPad which is much cheaper than the Pro.

It is a 10.5 Pro. :) Crazy thing is there are plenty floating around in this price range on Craigslist.
Yeah. When we get close to Apple events, owners dump their devices for stupid prices.

You can save a lot of money if you are willing to buy a year old devices in mint or brand new condition.

If the price increase hurts too much, wait for price cuts or for them to start showing up in the refurb store. Price cuts happen fast, takes a little longer for new products to get to the refurb lists.

It hurts way more north of the border now. Apple products in recent years have started to become unattainable here due to how **** our dollar has been doing.

I actually thought this when I saw the iPhone prices. If they do keep the phone lcd and just expand the display size, at this point I am guessing they will bump the price up by 50-$100 which means I won't buy it. I want to upgrade from my air 2, but there is a limit.

There’s no doubt in my mind the prices will increase. It’s kind of why I want a current 10.5 Pro, but I’m waiting for them to be discounted.
