With the release of SDK, what are the chances of Voice-Activated calling software?

With all the software that is about to be made available for the
iPhone over the next few months, are we any closer to having
voice-activated dialing? This is one severely lacking feature and
it would certainly assist me in bluetooth calling in my automobile.

Thats a difficult question to answer. Its possible that voice activated dialing could be release in a future firmware upgrade, but who knows at this point. To be honest all you can do at this point is hold your breathe

A lot better than waiting for Apple to do it! Apple has not released jack in usable apps for this phone in almost a year. HIGHLY disappointed in Apples ability to "grow" the iPhone. I do not know if Apple finally realized they do not know what they are doing, are over their heads as far as phone apps are concerned or what, but SDK is our only good hope for the iPhone growing into its potential... 'cuz Apple sure isn't getting it done.

It's rather amazing. I am getting bluetooth installed in my car
and I can't use voice activation to make phone calls as the iPhone
does not support it. The installer laughed at the fact that I had
a $400 phone that did not support voice dialing.

I also whole-heartedly agree with all of you that Apple has
done very little to improve this phone since its initial release,
relying on developers to do it instead -- none of which would
now be happening if people weren't jailbreaking this phone in
droves.

Are you going to be one of those guys who only is here to flame at people you disagree with or possibly help me?

I am not interested in anything but help. I don't flame people for having complaints about things when they ask for help, I just try to help. The only time I get into the firing back is when I get jumped on by a bunch of folks with nothing better to do than put down others. I'm sorry if I have upset you but I am not going to speak with you again until it is about my problem and a possible solution, because nobody here will like me if it came to that and I am finally growing out of having to win every fight.
