Due to hardware malfunction, I am without my Mac for some amount of days. Before things went south, I had taken an iMovie project and exported it to .m4v (Large). Then I copied that to a USB stick.

The .m4v is now on my Windows machine. It plays in iTunes for Windows and Windows Media Player.

How can I get this .m4v file to my Mobile Me gallery from Windows?

Optimally, I want to reduce the physical size of the file too since it is about 500MB right now.

[Note, I also have an iPhone and iPad, but I do not want to "Erase and Sync" with iTunes on my Windows machine. But if they can help in any way in this situation, I would be interested in knowing how]

Thanks.

If you can log on to the me.com website from your PC- you can just upload the file from the web interface.

In IE, there is no way to upload into the Movies section of My Gallery. The upload arrow is not highlighted in there. I just realized you can create a new Album and upload the video into that album. That may work ok.

Any ideas on how to reduce the size of the .m4v first before uploading? Would Handbrake be something that might be useful there?

Not sure about the gallery thing. Does it need to go into a specific area? I was thinking you just wanted it on the iDisk somewhere for access/sharing.

Handbrake should work for re-encoding the file to be smaller.
