Nermal Moderator Staff member Dec 7, 2002 21,212 4,882 New Zealand Sep 7, 2013 #2 Reboot and hold Cmd-Opt-R at the chime to get into Internet Recovery. You can reinstall from there.

Click to expand... Do you not have any kind of backup or restore media you could use? I guess you have a newer Mac, that already came with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion?

Click to expand... When you installed the Developer Preview of Mavericks it also updated your recovery partition. Since Mavericks is not yet available in the App Store, online recovery will start working again when Mavericks has been released...
