I just noticed a couple of major Boot Camp annoyances last night.

1) WMP9 which was installed by default with XP was playing back all videos with negative colors. (green was magenta, etc...) This was cleared up by installing WMP10, and I suspect that there must be some incompatibility between the ATI driver, WMP9 and/or the version of DirectX I had installed.

2) XP still doesn't ship with the ability to playback DVDs in the default install. You still need an additional piece of software to enable DVD playback. I know there are lots of options, but I wanted to try playing back a DVD without rebooting to OS X and failed miserably. Has this changed in Vista?

This is not a bootcamp issue but a WMP9 issue. I was having that same problem on a new acer until I installed WMP10.

I think the blame lies with the new video drivers being optimized for WMP10+ and not being fully compatible with WMP9. Since the drivers were provided by Apple, they should advise you to download WMP10 or later as part of the drvier installer...

Of course since Apple doesn't support Boot Camp or Windows I don't expect this to actually happen...
