So you can see, the drive is performing better in the iMac for whatever reason. The system REALLY FLIES. :D
 
Xbench isn't accurate, I've seen results that differ by 50 points 5 min apart plus the OS is different as well. My xbench on SL was faster than Leo.

Also you didn't say which firmware your vertex have, is it 1.4? Vertex 1.3/1.4 and the upcoming 1.5 can refresh itself after certain amount of time with each successive firmware update being faster than before.

Congrats on getting the SSD into the iMac. That's a mean machine even without the SSD.

I ran the benchmark again and my results varied by VERY little. Total disk score of 292 instead of 290.2. There's always going to be a slight variance, but this is a very small margin of error.

Yes, the differences are SL vs Leopard, and 1.3 firmware from before vs 1.41 firmware now. In any case, SSDs rock, and are the best upgrade you can do for your computer at this point.
