Hey everyone,

I just purchased a new mac mini and have it connected via wifi (802.11g) to my Linksys router running Tomato. When I use WOL, it's pretty sporadic as to when it wakes up. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It seems to me that when it's been asleep longer, it's less likely to wake up. Any ideas?

check your ARP table and connected wireless hosts, could be the mac address is expiring.

Are you using broadcast or directed packet to send the magic packets?

see if you can enter a static layer 2 mac entry.

Thanks for your reply. My arp table shows the mac address that I have been using. I'm using the built in web interface for it in tomato, and I've tried with the "wakeonlan" application. I'm not sure which method these use to send the magic packets.

Do you know how I'd enter a static mac entry?

Thanks!
