A little interesting but not that amazing. The iPhone landed in a soft spot while it was still on and she was able to determine it's approximate location and then call it.

Now this is one of the reasons I like my iPhone! This lady lost hers when she dropped it from a biplane and managed to track it down using Find My iPhone! The phone was unharmed after its fall. Simply amazing!

I was at an international airport last week and there was a guy frantically walking around the boarding gate area (Which was extremely busy at this time of day) looking for his iPhone, and he used the find my iPhone function, which I could hear his phone dinging from a distance, fortunately for him, an airport employee walked over and handed him his iPhone. It’s the little features like this that make the difference in those rare situations.

This is why I don’t buy used phones unless they are a bargain.

Who knows what internal damage there is to the iPhone from a drop. Things can get loose or damaged from a drop. Even if the phone looks in mint condition.
