I won a new iPod Nano in a contest, but have no need for it. Will the Apple Store give me in-store credit if I take it in unopened?

Just hate to see it unused and don't feel like Craigslisting it or Ebay.

GIVE IT TO A FAMILY MEMBER FOR X-MAS or B-day.

I doubt an Apple store will accept it without a receipt because they do not know if it has been stolen or stuff like that(not that you would do that-Just for legal issues). I would give it to a family member or friend for the holidays or a birthday.

Ahh good point, didn't think of that but you are probably right.

No they won't take it back....got a gift one time without receipt and they wouldn't take it unless it was purchased through them. I didn't know where it was purchased but they could tell by SN# that it wasn't from their store.
