Im getting the new Macbook soon and was wondering if instead of installing bootcamp on my hard drive would i be able to buy a separate hard drive and have windows installed on it and just switch out the hard drives when i want? I now that switching hard drives to play games sounds tedious, but it will allow me to have more space on the hard drive for games.

if you're gonna do that then why don't u just buy an external drive?

Or are you concerned that USB would be too slow?
I think you can get a hard drive that'll connect through ethernet if you want.

You can't boot Windows from an external drive, the last time I checked. I might be wrong.

For what you're doing, you may just want to get the biggest drive available and partition that. The drive bay isn't really meant to be as modular as the G3 PowerBooks, and you might end up damaging something.

you could still make a small partition for the actual OS and then install other Windows programs on an external drive, right?
