When pressing the power button, it starts to boot up, but about halfway through it gives me a “no access” sign (photo attached). I’ve tried booting in safe mode, but sadly with the same result. I’m apprehensive about turning it in for repair since my back-up was erased at the store last time I turned it in for something else.

Which MBP do you have?
What year was it made?
What version of the OS is on it?

You’re asking questions I don’t remember the answers to. Can I look that up somewhere with the serial number??
