Won't charge at all

Up until last night, since I got my iPad less than a week ago, the battery and charging process had been working great.

Then last night it started to not work. I would have it plugged into the outlet, yet it only charged 1% in the span of a half hour or so.

Even though I have 128 GB of storage, is it possibly not working due to the amount of video I shot yesterday for a class project? I shot 55 videos, some of em were only 10-15 seconds long.
 
If your battery is used beyond a critical level, the recharging ability may be permanently damaged.
But usually, iOS would detect low power and turn off your device, prompt you to recharge before using it again. You might also receive a defect battery.
Maybe an Apple Store trip could solve the problem?

What you have as far as a video should have no effect on your iPad charging.

Do you have another charging cable and charging block to use to see if one of them is defective? Are you using Apple cables and charging block?

When you plug it in does it make the chime sounds and show a lightning bolt next to the battery?

If you've had it less than a week, just take it back and exchange it.

I ordered it online, on eBay. The seller had a 99.6% rating

Well just check the Apple warranty against the iPad's serial number.

You might be covered.

The seller's rating has little to do with this though. They could have 100% and the product could still fail… that's electronics.
 
Need to make sure it is still not registered to their Apple ID or otherwise they won't deal with you. Not sure you can check this bit anymore though. Apple removed this ability last year I think.
 
I fixed and straightened it out lmfao, found out that I was using the wrong cord -- my iPod cord, which is the same cord/insert as my iPad but smaller, was the one I was using to charge it.

Thanks anyways guys for the help lol.
