When I run the El Capitan installer nothing happens for me. The installer application says it is going to restart to and start the upgrade and then it just simply restarts, does not do the upgrade and just restarts like normal. It simply just does a basic restart and nothing else.

I have booted from an external drive and repaired the disk and permissions. What else can I do to try to get it to install?

I am using a 2015 15" Macbook Pro Mid 2014 model. I am currently running 10.10.5 If that helps at all.

The same happens to me and I have a MBP 2014
